The first step is to apply in a US University or college which is approved by the Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP), once you get accepted, you will get a Form I-20 from the institution’s international student office. You need to fill this form and submit to get your study visa accepted.

Documents required for a US student visa

You must have a valid passport that stays valid for six months beyond your period of stay in the US. You must get acceptance at SEVP and fill the form I-20. You must submit an Application fee payment for the SEVIS. Your photograph in the asked format.

Other additional documents that you need are:

Applying your Visa Online

You can apply for your visa online using the US immigration website. You should apply 120 days before your decided date of the program start date in the US.
If you are an applicant from outside the USA, then you have to pay $160 as a Visa Fee.

Yes, students are allowed to work during their studies in America. All students with F1 visas are permitted to work 40 hours fortnight and full time during the vacations.

If your Guardians can’t come to the US along with you so you can opt for government verified local guardians at a minimal cost.
