Manitoba invites 443 candidates in it’s first PNP draw of 2022…
When it comes to moving to Canada either on study visa or on work permit, the province of Manitoba is preferred by a majority of individuals. The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) invited candidates across three Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs). The following are the categories and the numbers invited plus the minimum cut off per each category.
- Skilled Workers in Manitoba –357 (Cut off score 459)
- Skilled Workers overseas – 53 (Cut off Score 711)
- International Education Stream – 33 (No Cut off)
Among these invitations, 97 were issued to candidates in the Express Entry system. For all those who are unaware about Express Entry, it is a Canada’s application management system for three federal high skilled immigration programs namely:
- Canadian Experience Class
- Federal Skilled Worker program federal Skilled treades Program.
- Federal Skilled Trades Program
Candidates who apply under the Express Entry system are ranked based on the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS). Points are rewarded on the basis of various factors such as age, work experience, education and language skills. Any candidate who is willing to see himself settled in the beautiful province of Manitoba has to first register an Expression of Interest with theMPNP. This puts him in a position to receive an LAA through the Skilled Workers in Manitoba and Skilled Workers Overseas streams. Candidates overseas need to demonstrate connections to Manitoba through the likes of close family ties, previous experience in the province or an invitation through one of the province’s Strategic Recruitment Initiatives.
Moreover, in order to receive an invitation under the Skilled Workers in Manitoba category, one needs to have a full-time job offer from a provincial employer. Also, International graduates who complete their education in Manitoba can receive an invitation under the International Education Stream if they can prove that they have in-demand skills.
