REQUIREMENTS
In order to proceed with your tertiary education at the colleges and universities of the USA, you must fulfill the requirements required by such institutes or embassy for your better approval chances. Here are some common requirements:-
1. Your Documents:
- A valid passport that is valid for at least 6 months beyond your period of stay in the US.
- The Non-immigrant Visa Application, Form DS-160
- A passport photo
- A Certificate of Eligibility for Non-immigrant (F1) Student Status (Form 1-20)
- The application fee payment receipt
2. English Language Proficiency test
IELTS and TOEFL are the two tests that are commonly accepted by the universities and the colleges of the USA
NOTE: The TOEFL is more commonly accepted by American institutions, while the IELTS is more commonly accepted overseas. However, there are still 3000+ institutes in the USA that accept IELTS!
3. Evidence of Financial support
The American embassy requires proof of ability to pay tuition and living expenses.

COST OF STUDYING
Universities in the US are categorized into two types: Public and Private universities. Usually, education cost at a public university is comparatively lesser than that of a private university.
Despite all these, your tuition fees depend upon the course, university or college, or institute you have chosen!
Please note that subjects like humanities, arts, and education courses are cheaper, while subjects such as medical and non-medical are likely to be more expensive than others.
