New Zealand to progressively reopen borders for international students in 2022…
The government of New Zealand has allowed the reopening of it’s international borders for international students from February 28. Moreover, from October 2022, the normal visa processing will resume enabling international students to enrol themselves to study in New Zealand in 2023.With the decreasing effect of COVID and the pandemic seeming to end soon, almost every nation in the world has either reopened it’s international borders or is preparing to do so. The government of New Zealand has also taken this initiative and is preparing to reopen it’s borders for international students from February 28. This reopening of border will be done in a five step process.
At the first stage, the locals will be allowed to enter the country from Australia and rest of the world.At the second stage, a total of 5000 international students will be allowed to enter the country from April for their second semester. After this, from October onwards, normal visa processing will resume enabling international students to study in New Zealand in the year 2023. Moreover, for students entering New Zealand from March 14thwill have an opportunity to self isolate themselves rather than going through managed isolation and quarantine facilities subjected with health and border requirements.
