Statement of Purpose :- A Key to Visa Success

Nowadays, many students dream of studying abroad after completing their 12th grade and graduation. This happens because they are easily influenced by mesmerizing campuses, quality of life, monetary benefits and various other Phenomena. So, in applying for their study in Abroad , they have to undergo various different processes.

 The SOP is a prolonged essay needed by the universities situated in the international countries and nowadays, some of the Indian universities are asking for it too during the application process. As the full form of SOP reveals itself, a Statement of Purpose, it is a paper stating the objective of applying to a particular course in a particular university. To explain things in a nutshell, S.O.P.  is a full documentation of  who you are, who you want to become, and how prepared you are to study a certain course in an institution.

POINTS TO TAKE IN MIND WHILE WRITING AN S.O.P.

  1. First and foremost point while writing an S.O.P.  that should be kept in mind while writing is that it should be well attractive and done in a clean way.
  2.  S.O.P. must be written in the form of story, not like a statement because stories affect people more emotionally than statements.
  3. Word count should not exceed the limit of 1200 words and not be less than 600 words. S.O.P. must mention achievements, professional goals and academics as well.
  4. It should be plagiarized because universities and colleges are very serious serious when it comes to plagiarism in S.O.P.s
  5. Writer must use formal but conversational tone as well.
  6. Make sure it must be written in an organized matter covering every point and goal.

 COMMOM MISTAKES TO AVOID IN WRITING S.O.P.:-

  1. Don’t waste too many precious words in describing maternal and paternal family to the admission committee as they have no consideration and interest in knowing about them.
  2. Don’t talk too much about childhood fantasies.
  3. Playing around the bush and not paying attention to career goals.
  4. Never be too casual and too direct in the beginning and conclusion.
  5. Never mention any false information or give fake documents.
  6. S.O.P. should never be copied from internet or from friends.

Once their file is lodged with all the necessary documents, they have to book a biometric appointment where the student’s fingerprints and photograph is taken. Once their medical and biometric is updated on website, embassy let the applicant know how to proceed further like if their application is accepted or not.
